SAN FRANCISCO ? November 16, 2007 ? Today Ubisoft, one of the world's
largest video game publishers, announced that Beowulf(TM), the action
combat game based on Paramount Pictures' and Shangri-La Entertainment's
Beowulf, the upcoming feature film from Academy Award®-winning director
Robert Zemeckis, is now available on store shelves.
"Today is
an exciting day for Ubisoft as we launch the Beowulf video game
alongside the release of the Beowulf movie,? stated Tony Key, senior
vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. "Working closely with
Paramount Pictures and Shangri-La Entertainment has allowed us to
breathe new life into this ancient tale, creating an amazing gaming
experience that will extend Beowulf's adventures for fans of both the
epic poem and the new feature film.?
The Beowulf video game is

30 years of the Beowulf story.
"The Beowulf video game extends
and complements the motion picture experience beyond the silver
screen,? said Sandi Isaacs, senior vice president interactive and
mobile for Paramount Pictures. "Our goal has always been to provide
fans with authentic and compelling game play timed to coincide with the
opening of our film, and this game delivers on this promise.?
