Nintendojo has completed their review of the new BMX game for the GameCube. Here is what one of their reviewers thought of the game:

"Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 loses points for its camera and sometimes frustrating design, but it's too fun to ignore. If you're suffering from Tony Hawk fatigue, or just prefer BMX to skateboards, then give Dave Mirra a try. It's the best BMX game on the Cube."

Overall: 8.3

Gamequbed has posted their review of the the newer BMX stunt game for the GameCube.

"Overall, Mirra is definitely worth a buy. Dave Mirra finally seems like a non-THPS clone. I mean, how many BMXer's do you see linking together combos in real life compared to skateboarders? Not many. Making the combo system the same as THPS would have greatly drained the game's realism, and I'm really glad that Z-Axis took a different route and tried as much originality as possible with their latest effort."

IGN gives a sneak peek of the upcoming BMX game for the GameCube.

"The GameCube version of Dave Mirra 2 is essentially a port of the PS2 original, but it does feature two new tracks and some significant graphic upgrades. Supposing that developer Z-Axis can work out camera clinks hampering early versions of the PS2 burn, there's no reason this freestyle racer filled with huge levels, great air and trick opportunities and an enormous list of executable tricks, won't rock BMX fans this fall."
