Vivendi Universal has announced that Spyro: A Hero’s Tail has gone gold. The newest addition to the ever-popular Spyro series will hit shelves in November on Playstation 2, Gamecube, and Xbox. The new title features five fully-playable characters, along with new power-ups, new moves, and new breath attacks.

“Without a doubt, A Hero’s Tail is the biggest, boldest and greatest Spyro adventure to date,” said Michael Pole, EVP of Worldwide Studios, VU Games. “Everyone’s favorite purple dragon has allied himself with old friends and recruited new ones in a humorous adventure spanning lush dragon realms that gamers of all ages will certainly enjoy. Spyro is definitely back - and he’s back in a big way!”

Look for the title to hit in November.
