games xtreme has reviewed Impossible Creatures. Here is a bit of what they had to say:

"Overall the game is good. The number of units you can make is definitely the main reason you will come back to the game but most of the time will be spent on the creature creation screen trying to see what the various animals look like when combined."

Word on the street is that the idea is cool but the follow-thru is only so-so. Playing around with mixing up creatures sounds like lots of fun, but it's the the lame RTS game attached that's giving lukewarm reviews. Here's a review from Gamespot.
