Bloodmoon comes to Europe & Australia

Ubi Soft Entertainment has announced a distribution deal with Bethesda Softworks to publish The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon in European territories and Australia. Scheduled for release in June 2003, Bloodmoon takes players to the frozen Island of Solstheim where the Empire is establishing a new mining colony – a venture being threatened by the prophecy of the Bloodmoon and rumors of werewolves.
Florence Alibert, marketing director for EMEA says of the release, “We are thrilled with offering to the European Morrowind community a fresh experience that will look and feel completely new for Morrowind players. Bloodmoon’s new setting, storyline, and artwork make it feel like a whole new game unto itself.“
Players will journey north from Vvardenfell by ship, bringing them to a completely new world where the ashlands and rainy coasts of Morrowind fade to forests and hills covered with ice and snow. In the wilderness of Solstheim plarers will experience snow, blizzards, and new creatures including huge frost trolls, demonic ice minions, and ravenous wolves.
Players will have several choices including defending the colony, taking control over how the colony is built up, and eliminating the werewolves or becoming one of the dreaded werewolves and joining them in their quest to rid the area of the plague which is humanity.
The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon is the second expansion pack for Morrowind. The first expansion pack, Tribunal, was released in Europe in November 2002 (March 2003 for localized French and German versions).
