Microsoft Game Studios, iGames and EB Games have announced signups have officially begun for the Halo for Windows Worldwide Championship. The international event will pit thousands of top Halo players from around the world against each other for a chance at some big-time prizes; after the dust settles, only one player will emerge to be crowned the world's best Halo gamer.

Microsoft Game Studios, Bungie Studios and Gearbox Software today announced that Halo for Windows has gone gold and is scheduled to hit store shelves on September 30 for an estimated retail price of $49.99 (U.S.).

Bungie Studios have announced that Halo for Windows tournaments will be at the CPL Pentium 4 Processor Winter 2003 Championships, taking place December 16-20 at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas.
