Gamers.com has up a review of Squaresofts rehash of some of the finest RPGs of all time. Here's a bit of the review:
"Both games have been cleaned up and polished to a fine gloss thanks to all the extras included here. For starters, the graphics have been upgraded from 8-bit crustiness to 16-bit splendor."

Final Fantasy Origins to be released April 8th, 2003.

This is your chance to play the first ever Final Fantasy and its never released stateside Final Fantasy II. Origins will be realeased for the Playstation console on one disk as opposed to the two when released in Japan.

The release promised a large number of enhancements and is not to be missed by RPG fans new and old.

Whats this? Remakes of the original Final Fantasys? Oh yeah! Check out this hands-on info from Gamespot:

"Both games in Final Fantasy Origins look and sound roughly the same. Impressive prerendered CG cutscenes are used for the openings of both Final Fantasy and its sequel, giving Final Fantasy Origins more of a modern look."
