Battlefield 1942: EA hopes Microsoft burns in hell...

EA hates Microsoft and XBox live. Anyone who follows the industry knows this. They don't like the 'pricing model', on top of the fact that Microsoft is already a huge publishing competator of EA... this is no mystery. This has led many gamers to speculate that Battlefield 1942 will not be coming to the Xbox, since EA is the publisher for Digital Illusions CE (DICE, the developers of BF1942). Best that I can tell, (in other words, NONE of this is official), this is partially true - EA will not be publishing BF1942 for the Xbox. DICE on the other hand, still own the rights to BF1942, not EA (unconfirmed, but still very likely true). DICE has just become an official first party developer for Microsoft. What this means is Microsoft sticks their tongue out at EA and THEY publish BF1942, while EA cry's likes a baby with their half-eaten sucker in hand, sitting in their little baby crib. Now, the only thing I could see holding things up is EA having some sort of claus in the original publishing contract with DICE that says "No one else can publish BF1942 for so many months/years".. which is very possible. Again, this is all here-say and none of it may be even true at ALL... but it's what I've been able to dig up on the Internet thus far.
In my opinion, EA needs to accept the fact that the XBox is here to stay. They need to accept the fact that XBox live OWNS the Online Console market. Sony is the only game in town as far as EA is concerned. If the day ever comes when the Playstation is rotting in a cesspool of old concole components at the bottom of a landfill somewhere, hopefully EA is right there with em'.
