"Creepy" doesn't even come close to describing Eternal Darkness, a centuries-spanning survival epic that has received a Mature rating. Controlling a character named Alexandra, players progress through an adventure organized as if it were a mammoth horror book.

Each chapter in Eternal Darkness is set in a different era. Characters range from a 14th-century monk to a World War I reporter. Players will be able to conjure up over 120 different spell combinations to dismember and destroy their devilish foes.

Most intriguing of all, an ever-present Sanity Meter determines when your brain has endured too much magic and violence to function. Once that happens, the ensuing cinema scene is not a pretty sight.
