You are famous horror writer Michael Arthate and you've just purchased Blackwood Manor, an old, solitary Victorian mansion on the outskirts of Rothbury, England. You're enjoying the peaceful charm of your new home when suddenly, you begin to hear strange noises coming from the basement. Soon, the rooms of your mansion begin to speak of past events events that were rather unpleasant. Isolated by a washed-out road and in search of clues regarding these mysterious noises, you set out to discover the terrible secret of your new home. But as you explore the mansion's rooms and grounds, you begin to come to the terrifying realization that you are not alone.
