"its numerous missteps and badly designed features and interface make it unlikely to completely satisfy either hard-core RPG fans or the more casual Diablo-type players. It's a shame, but Black Isle has published their first true clunker."

RPGDot discusses various facets of the Belt of Voodoo within the upcoming game Lionheart:
"Imported from the dark continents of the Americas, this belt has a sickly-sweet smell about it that cannot be removed. While worn, this belt enhances all Tribal spell skills by 1 point. When it is combined with the Necklace of Voodoo, the wearer obtains one more skill point to spend per level up."

RPGDot continues their look at Lionheart and all that it has to offer.
"In the fourth installment of our Lionheart items of the week series, we have among others a nice weapon: The Scorching Blade, a "blade was chiseled from volcanic rock and magically welded with iron to produce a fire that could not be quenched. In addition to the fire damage that it deals, the blade also confers 25% fire resistance."

RPGDot has added the next installment in their continued coverage of Lionheart and items within the game.
"Originally created to fight Fire Drakes in the Fourth Crusade against the Storm Dragons in 1241, this bow increases the damage that its wielder does with cold by 25%. It also causes 60% more piercing damage than a regular bow. However, a Ranged Weapons skill of 85 is required to equip this item."

"in the second installment of our bi-weekly Lioneart Items Feature RPGDot today presents, among two others, the Sword of Rigor Mortis Frost: "Slippery to the touch, the blade of this sword seems almost translucent in bright light. Wielding the sword makes your hand go numb, but increases your Cold Resistance by 50%...."

"The first installment covers three items, one of which is the Book of Death: "Written in dragon blood, this tome details the inner machinations of bringing the dead to life. Reading the tome provides 15 skill points to the Tribal Spell Branch of Necromancy."

RPGDot has posted a new special for Lionheart discussing the Divine Favor skill.
"Calls forth a ghost of a Knight Templar to fight for the player that has increased hit points and increased damage modifiers than when it was alive. Hit points start out at 15% above normal, and can be increased by 5% for every 2 skill points in this skill up to a maximum of 100% extra (plus the original 15%)."

If you've been following this games progression like we have been here at Wewp you'd know how Black Isle studios is making one of the most promising RPG's of the century. Here's some of the Gamespot preview:
"You begin your adventure in Lionheart as a magic user who's been captured by slave traders, sold to the Inquisition, and thrown into a prison beneath the town of Barcelona, Spain, which was nearly destroyed in the cataclysm that occurred during the Crusades."

RPGDot has posted their 7th installment in their Lionheart special feature.
"It needs to be pointed out that no single magic Skill is wholly self-sufficient. This is analogous to the rest of the system. The only thing you can do with the One-Handed Melee skill is attack things with one-handed melee weapons. By taking One-Handed Melee skill, you don't get better at evading attacks, picking locks, or anything else, you are just better at attacking."

RPGDot has added their next installment of the Lionheart special dealing with magic.
"One of the largest challenges in the creation of the game system for Lionheart was the incorporation of magic. Figuring out how to make the game real-time was fairly trivial from a design standpoint (I don't think the programmers would agree with me), but making cool spells that function as part of a system that is already known and loved by wasn't."

"As explained in a previous installment, your character has four different combat skills for attacking physically: one-handed melee, two-handed melee, ranged combat, and unarmed combat. If your character is magically inclined, there are twelve different spell skills that offer everything from straight fire damage to protective magics."

The good folks over at RPG vault have put up part 6 of their great Lionheart timeline. If you haven't been following the news, Lionheart is an innovative RPG from Black Isle Studios, the makers of Fallout and the outstanding Icewind Dale series of games. Set in an dark ancient world where magic and mayhem coexist Lionheart promise outstanding character freedom and detal.

RPGDot introduces the Lionheart SPECIAL System. The first installment is about Races an attributes and also features two brandnew character portraits:
"Pureblood
Those referred to as the Pureblood come from the untainted bloodline of humans. They and their ancestors remain untouched by the Disjunction or the spirits it released upon Earth. They have average attributes and make up the majority of Europe's population. Purebloods tend to control most of the continent and it's politics."
