Eagle Games, Inc. has announced its entry into the entertainment software publishing business with the launch of the PC version of their critically acclaimed board game War! Age of Imperialism. The board game War! Age of Imperialism is a game of empire building, exploration, economic expansion, technological advancement, and diplomacy in the Age of Imperialism (1830 – 1900). Players rule one of the great powers of the era as they attempt to carve out an empire.

The PC conversion allows current fans of the board game to play solo against a very challenging AI with several “personalities”, as well as to play distant opponents online via the internet. New fans will be dazzled by the stunning artwork and deep, rich gameplay.

The PC conversion of War! Age of Imperialism was developed by the hot new PC game developer Donohoe Digital, LLC.

Doug Donohoe, founder and president of Donohoe Digital, said, “The PC version of this classic boardgame is superior in many ways to previous boardgame conversions. It offers far more replayability and a computer opponent that will really give you a run for your money.” He went on to say, “The computer AI is so tough that we actually contemplated dumbing it down a bit.”

There are very few high-quality, turn-based strategy games being published these days. War! Age of Imperialism first appeared as a board game in November, 2001, and has gathered critical acclaim as well as a legion of loyal fans.
