"Graphics are good, which is one of the game?s redeeming qualities. The characters move fluidly when performing tricks, and tumbles off a snowmobile look like they actually hurt. The HUD is clearly designed and easy to read, and the radar and map are attractive, if not simple to use."

"Arctic Thunder looks to be a top-notch racing/combat game for the PS2. The incredible combination of mind-numbing speed, superb graphics, and explosive gameplay is sure to please those speed junkies I spoke of earlier. If it's as good as the coin-op version (too bad we won't get the fan that blows air like the arcade cabinet), I think Midway will have a big hit on their hands again."
