Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Review
posted by: Gamers Europe on 1/24/2003 8:00:02 AM

Gamers Europe has finished reviewing the next installment of Grand Theft Auto with this to say about it:

"To me, GTA:VC is same old, same old. Nothing about it screams out to me. Everything I need for any GTA addiction would be found in GTA III. Vice City just takes that title, polishes it and chucks in an 80's theme. Many will argue that Vice City is a much better game than GTA III, but chances are that they also like Blinx and Spyro. No offence."

Women Gamers.com has posted their review of GTA: Vice City. Here is a bit of what they had to say:

"Let this be said: If you're not a fan of entertainment with a high content of violence, drugs, sex etc., this is probably not the game for you. However, if you're willing to sit back and let your testosterone run rampant, a trip through Vice City can be a wild ride."

GTA: Vice City developer Q&A from Gamespot.

Some good info to be found here. Gamespot has posted up a nice Q&A with a couple of the nice folks of Rockstar North. An excerpt:

"GameSpot: What can you tell us about Vice City's graphics engine?

Adam Fowler: Vice City's graphics engine is based loosely on the Grand Theft Auto III engine, with many improvements added. One of the obvious improvements is the addition of skins for the pedestrians."

80's cops and robbers. Miami Vice style.

GTA was a great game. This takes it a step further by throwing in the neon and bad hair cuts era of the 80's. Check out Gamers.com's full preview to check how its coming along. GTA: Vice City is scheduled for an October release.
