989 Sports had nearly two years to work on and perfect NBA Shootout 2000, as the company didn't release a '99 NBA title. Despite a breakthrough feature for PlayStation basketball gaming, all the rest of 989's work went to waste, as NBA Shootout 2000 is filled with flaws, especially in gameplay.
