GameZone did a review of Sega Sports(tm) NFL 2K2 for the Xbox giving it a 7/10 with this to say:

This game does offer some nice options, but really can’t compare to other games in the genre. If you are after some solid well-rounded football game play, where you have a hands-on role, this game is not for you.
