Ubisoft is looking for original tracks recorded by U.S. Army soldier musicians specializing in rock or hip-hop for use in the upcoming America’s Army®: Rise of a Soldier™ video game (currently in development for the Xbox video game system and PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system).
Chosen songs will be featured in the game and played while the player navigates through the game menu screens. The musicians’ names and credits will appear as the music cycles on the screen display, as well as in the game manual and in a nationwide press release.
Developed by Secret Level Inc., America’s Army: Rise of a Soldier is the most authentic modern-day military experience found in a video game, and is developed in partnership with the U.S. Army to ensure realism. The unique, single-player Career mode allows gamers to create a soldier and train him or her from a recruit to a Special Forces team leader. The character will also evolve, allowing the player to customize the soldier’s skills based on successful missions. The multiplayer campaign will allow the player to create and promote persistent online characters in the online Career mode.
Submissions – Selections will be made by Ubisoft music supervisors. All submitted tracks must be pre-recorded, studio-quality work for consideration. Digital track submissions are ideal but not necessary. Please make sure to include your name and/or the name of the band, your rank and base location, the title of the track, and your contact information (phone number or email address). Submission deadline: May 12, 2005.
